For me, it’s come to the point where I leave so many pens and a notebook on my bedside table. I usually write notes in the dark… which makes it very difficult to read in the morning.
Haha I’ve done that too. Its in the shower when most lines come to me.
Now I have a hand-held tape recorder by the bed, but wakes my other half, especially sex scenes.
