He released one hand and reached for his glass to have another drink and I followed suit. He was studying me intently, almost to the point that I felt uncomfortable. He continued to stare while taking more sips, still without speaking until eventually I asked, “What are you thinking about?”
“I’m just wondering if you will still take up my offer to stay the night. I would make sure you woke up in time to head home before work.”
It was tempting, very tempting. We did need to sort out this compromising thing but not tonight, tonight it was too late for that type of discussion.
“Okay, but I need to have a shower.”
“I can go one better than that, why don’t we have a bath together?”
Ooh, that idea sounded delicious. My insides throbbed at the thought reminding me that I was still unfulfilled.
